BHOPAL (ADVISORNEWS): Sudhir pandey was a senior journalist in Madhya Pradesh and had a deep understanding of the local politics, with ground knowledge and connection about how politics is to be perceived in the state. He had built a network between the local news media agencies and himself, to get regular updates on the on-ground daily changes in public perception of the government policies and how are they being implemented. Many journalists fear retaliation from the government if they criticize the in-power parties' policies, but being his son and seeing him criticize firsthand the in-power parties’ I can for sure assure you he was anything but afraid to give his perspective. He always tried to stand with the people whose voices were not heard by the powerful or people in positions of power. Whether it be the BJP or Congress he also tried to present a perspective according to the common person or the local constituents of the state how they perceived the policy, that the government at the time was trying to implement.

The man was well-spoken, humble in nature, caring towards his family, friends, and loved ones, helpful, and willing to guide anyone who needed his help. Whenever anyone wanted any financial or spiritual guidance for any sort of issues that they might be facing he ensured they had someone whom they could depend upon without a second thought. This was not just for people equal to his stature but also for a common person or a young child who might have been struggling with her exam marks. I remember failing in the 10th board exams and being afraid of telling him, but when I told him the results his exact words were and I quote “hum zindagi mein bohot baar bohot cheezon mein fail honge or yeh chalta rahega, bas kabhi daarna nahi aur haarna nahi. Bas pichli baar se behtar karne ki koshish karna. Girna aur fir uthna aur fir koshish karna, yehi zindagi ki haaki kathai.” And from that day onwards this has been my myantra, I have failed at a lot of things after that and I know in the future also I might fail at a lot of things but these words will always encourage & motivate me to never give up trying or to lose hope and will always echo in my mind.

Sudhir pandey left us on 1 November 2023 but his teachings and knowledge stay with us. That day we lost him he is gone, he is no longer with us, and he will not be able to provide us with the intellectual guidance that we require right now. But he has left us with the knowledge and guidance to go ahead and pursue a better future for us. I have learned a lot from him and I hope, we can walk together as the son of Sudhir Pandey to pursue a better future together with all of you.
